I've created this blog to keep my friends and family updated. Our names have been left out to maintain privacy. I appreciate everyone who has been so supportive and loving during this tough time. I will keep this blog updated throughout the process so you can check this blog anytime you want to know what is going on. Warning to the men reading this. I plan on being very detailed. So I'm sorry if there is TMI sometimes. There will be some online friends that are going through the same thing. We like to share details so the next lady going through these drugs, etc will know what to expect.
I am currently taking Birth control pills which is the first step. I haven't been on these since 2005. We will be paying for our drugs on Monday ($1800). They will be shipped to us from a Walgreens Specialty Pharmacy in NY. The drugs are Follitism, Lupron, tramadol (pain), doxycycline, and HCG. We will then take our drugs into the RE's office on Jan 20th for the intro to IVF class. It is here where hubby will learn to give me my injections. I will get injections twice a day for a couple to few weeks (we learn all this on the 20th). Also on the 20th we have to pay the entire IVF fee that totals around $9000. So counting the drugs this is going to cost almost $11, 000!!
So as you can see this whole process is a huge financial commitment as well as emotional. Please bear with me through this process. I have already had rollercoaster emotions. I can't even imagine how it's going to be after I start the drugs.
I love you guys so much. I really hope that the hubby and I will soon be parents! Being around babies, showers, and pregnant people used to only bother me. Now it's wearing on the hubby too. We both want to be parents so bad. I really hope this is in the near future for us :)
